After You Dessert Cafe in Nimman, Chiang Mai is conceived as a compact hospitality interior with the atmosphere of a familiar neighborhood house. A pitched roof profile, exposed dark structural members, weathered plaster finishes and warm timber furniture give the 150 sq.m. space a relaxed, everyday character suited to the pace of the district.
The plan is organized around a clear central service counter so ordering, display and back-of-house support remain efficient while seating can unfold around the perimeter. Window benches, communal tables, loose cafe seating and more enclosed banquette zones provide a range of ways to occupy the space, balancing quick visits with longer stays.
The long gabled ceiling establishes the main identity of the interior. Rather than using a neutral commercial shell, the project turns the cafe into a room-like sequence with beams, trusses and warm indirect light that make the space feel grounded, intimate and easy to inhabit.
A stainless counter and display island sit at the middle of the plan, allowing service to remain visible and efficient. Around it, shelves, point-of-sale, display cases and preparation zones are layered into a compact system that supports both the dessert program and casual dine-in use.
Loose tables occupy the center, benches line the windows and more sheltered banquette seating is integrated into the darker wall zone. This mix creates varied social conditions within a single room and helps the cafe feel active without becoming visually crowded.
Weathered wall textures, timber furniture, black steel accents and soft lighting give the cafe an everyday atmosphere with a slightly rustic edge. The layout plan shows how the counter anchors the room while kitchen support, seating clusters and edge benches are distributed to keep sightlines and circulation straightforward.
